Venting Session

So why is it that healthy food is so darn expensive. I was so upset because I am a bargain shopper and felt horrible about my shopping experience yesterday. Yesterday at the store I got all healthy food. You know the vegetables, fruits, low fat things, etc. I am telling you I spent the most on food this trip than I have in a LONG time. Then it ruined my whole night. (I know I am a joke). So I guess I just need to face it and be okay with spending more money if I want to be healthy. Sorry, just had to vent!

I can't believe how BAD I am at blogging!

Well life is so darn busy I can never find time to blog. I would say I will try and do better, but then when I say that two months go by and I have not posted anything! Oh well. What do you do. I will be putting pictures up from Valentines Day (forever ago) and Easter soon (hopefully). We had a wonderful Easter. I absolutely LOVE this time of year. However, this year has been a little depressing. I mean come on full fledged snow! I know it snows every year in March and April, but this year I felt like it has been way worse. I feel like the snow actually stuck (when in other years it doesn't). All I have to say is I am very glad it did not snow on Easter. I would have been upset!

Our flowers are coming up! If you don't remember I have the prettiest flower garden that runs along the side of my driveway. Ok. I might be a bit biased. I know a lot of people have great flower gardens. I just love mine. The flowers all come out at different times. So there is never a dull moment with that garden. (See the post here) Every time I see those flowers I just have to smile. I love flowers and I love Spring. That is why I just want some Spring weather. Is that too much to ask! Apparently it is! Oh well. Hopefully soon, right? I am hoping to do some different stuff in our yard this year, make our front yard dazzle a little. It definitely does not right now. So I want good weather so I can go out in the yard and give it some TLC. I am praying for great weather this next weekend. I will have to take pictures of before and after our little front yard renovation. I will keep you posted. Until then I will keep wishing for some good Spring weather!

Thank Goodness it's FRIDAY!!!!!!

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."

I love this quote. This week has been a very hard one for me. Someone passed away this week that I really looked up to and it has been hitting home with me the past few days. I also worked more this week than I think I have ever in my life. Needless to say I am mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted.

So I am very excited that it is Friday. I have been looking forward to Friday since Sunday night. I know I should not wish my life away like that. I will have to work on that. I found this quote today I thought it was a good one so decided to post it. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Oh my!

I am so very bad at this blogging thing. I keep telling myself I will be better and then I continue on with not updating it. Oh well. Life is busy as usual, but very fun. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. I love that time of year and I wish it could last ALL YEAR LONG! Oh well. That is what makes it so special because it does not happen every day of the year. Here are a few pictures from Christmas. I have so many it was hard to pick a few. Ryan spoiled me as usual. He always knows how to get me a very thoughtful present. I love him so much and am so glad I get to spend this life with him and many more Christmases to come.

This is how Ryan landed after coming down the hill.

Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Meier's house

This is after a full day of Christmas activities. That is why we look exhausted.

Unfortunately, we do not have any New Year's Eve pictures because Ryan worked really late and was absolutely exhausted. So we did not do much of anything for New Year's Eve. Ryan stayed up in just enough time to give me a New Years kiss and then he passed out. We had a nice day off together the next day though. I LOVE spending time with him and we do not get enough days off to spend with each other.

I really hope it does not take me as long to post again, but I am not going to promise anything.

Lotaja and First Anniversary

Well I am finally getting around to blogging about things that happened over a month ago. The first of September I went and helped my mom be support for my dad during the Lotaja. It was a lot of fun. I thought it would go by so slow, but it actually passed quickly. He did such a great job. This is his second year and he beat his time by over an hour. He did so good. I could not even imagine doing it, but there are a lot of people that do it. I look up to each and every one of them.

Then a few weeks later on the 22nd of September, Ryan and I celebrated our first anniversary. He was so cute and got me flowers and a cute card. I gave him a book with 365 reasons why I love him. (One for each day we had been married up to that day) We just hung out together and then went down to The Cheesecake Factory. I love that place. We had a lot of fun. Then we went to San Diego to visit his dad and get away for a bit. We had a great time.

Conference

I am just so amazed at how much I LOVED Elder Holland's talk today. He did such a great job. He has such enthusiasm that it captures the listeners. He did such a great job at getting his point across and not beating around the bush. I felt the spirit very strong during his talk. I LOVE LOVE LOVED it.

Last conference his talk was my favorite too. If you have not seen this video please watch it. It brought such a wonderful spirit. I love watching it and hearing Elder Holland's words in the background. I am so bummed that conference is over until next time. It is such an awesome thing that we can listen to the prophet and apostles from our homes. I am so grateful that I live in the world today when we have prophets and seers to guide us. I am so grateful that I am part of this church. I am so grateful that I have wonderful parents that are such awesome examples to me. I am so grateful that I have such a loving husband that is a worthy priesthood holder.

I am very grateful today. I hope everyone felt the spirit that I felt today. I am so grateful that I did.
